Ceremony Location
Villa Ospo was designed by John Russell Pope, architect of the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, DC. He built it for Club member Walter Jennings of the Standard Oil Company. The cottage is a blend of Spanish eclectic and Italian renaissance. It is called Ospo after the original Native American name of the island. Villa Ospo became known as Jekyll Island's informal welcome center, greeting newcomers and visitors to the island. Ospo is one of the most modern structures in the island's National Historic Landmark district, reflecting the Roaring Twenties. Over the years, guests have claimed that they have had encounters with Walter & Jean Jennings: a creak here, a rumble there, combined with the scents of cigar and perfume.

Village Creek Landing is a private peninsula surrounded by tidal creeks and marsh. The peninsula looks over the beautiful Marshes of Glynn, Sea Island, Little St. Simon's Island and St. Simon's Island.
First Look Location
Retreat Plantation was one of the most prosperous plantations & was located on the southern tip of St. Simon's Island. Anna Page King, who inherited the land in 1826, planted the famous Avenue of the Oaks. It is said that Anna grew such an abundance of flowers at Retreat Plantation that sailors nearing St. Simon's Island could smell the flowers' fragrance before they saw the Island shores. The Avenue of the Oaks is now the grand entrance to the Sea Island Golf Club. Follow the drive around the magnificent double row of 160 year old live oak trees and soak in their splendor.
